The PDCC in Hemato-Oncopathology is a specialized one-year training program focused on the
diagnosis, classification, and monitoring of hematological malignancies. The course aims to
provide in-depth knowledge and practical expertise in hematopathology through integration of
morphology, immunophenotyping, cytogenetics, molecular diagnostics and digital pathology.
The objective of the program is to train candidates to independently evaluate and report
hematological disorders, including leukemias, lymphomas, and related conditions, with a high
level of accuracy and clinical correlation. Emphasis is placed on understanding disease biology,
diagnostic algorithms and the role of advanced laboratory techniques in patient management.
Trainees will gain hands-on experience in bone marrow evaluation, flow cytometry, and
molecular testing, along with exposure to digital pathology tools for slide analysis and data
integration. The program also includes multidisciplinary discussions involving hematologists and
oncologists and encourages development of research skills and academic interest in the field of
hemato-oncopathology.

Admission process:
- Number of seats 02.
- Course duration – One year.
- Exam application fees Rs 2000/-.
- Date of start of the application submission April 30th , 2026
- Last date for receiving filled in applications is May 30th , 2026
- Entrance Examination (Online) June 5th , 2026 ( 2:00pm)
- Results announcement for Candidates selected for Interview: June 5th , 2026 by evening
- Interview for selected candidates (via Zoom) : tentatively June 6th , 2026 (11:30am)

Details About Eligibility & Admission:
- Candidates who have passed MD/DNB in pathology are eligible
- Age less than 40 years by April 30th2025 at the time of application
- In service candidate sponsored by their parent institute need to get a No Objection certificate from the Head of their institute for pursuing the course.
- Written examination (MCQ based) followed by interview. Eight candidates will be shortlisted for the interview and 2 will be selected.
- The interview shall take the practical knowledge and application of the subject in routine practice and medical fitness into consideration. The decision of interview board will be final.
- No individual correspondence will be made for students not shortlisted for the interview. Only those candidates who are shortlisted will be intimated.
- Fees per annum paid to the institute Rs 1,50,000/-
- Fees paid to ICP by the student during their tenure :Rs 25,200

- *Payment to Indian College of Pathologists should be facilitated by student .
- The fees will not be refunded after 1 month of admission. Within a month if the candidate decides on not continuing, only 50% of the fees paid to BIACH & RI will be refunded.The fees paid to Indian College of Pathologists will not be refunded. The vacant seat will be offered to the candidate in the waiting list.
- A monthly stipend of Rs 70000/-(all inclusive) will be paid for 12 months of service In-service candidates will not be paid.
- Any candidate leaving the course after a month or any time in middle have to surrender the previous stipend received
After Admission:
- PDCC (Hemato-Oncopathology) is a full time course and shall be governed by applicable leaves of the institute. No candidate pursuing the course shall be allowed to do any private practice or consultation.
- Duties of the PDCC fellow will be fixed from time to time by the Institute.
- The selected candidate will have to submit a research project by end of month of December 2025.
